Crown Jewel Farms is a USDA organic certified blueberry farm in Lake Wales, Fla.

It is owned and operated by the McKenna and Kincaid families

We are busy tending to the blueberry plants right now. We can’t wait until we can open up for the 2017 U Pick season.

If you have never been out to a U-pick blueberry farm, we strongly encourage you to give us a try. It’s a great activity for the whole family! The kids get to run around and enjoy the outdoors while picking blueberries. Crown Jewel has a shady spot with picnic tables for a lunch after picking or for parents to relax a bit while the kids pick. But don’t worry, it’s not just for families. Wandering blueberry farms while picking is a great way to escape from everyday stresses and relax in the outdoors.

Picking your own berries is a great way to make sure you’re getting the quality of blueberries you want. Maybe you want only the giant berries to make tasty snacks, or perhaps you want the tiny ones to make blueberry puree for a smoothie. U-picks are perfect for customizing your very own blueberry selection!

It can be cool, rainy or hot during the harvest season for blueberries. If you don’t wish to spend time outside because of the weather, many U-picks, including us, have berries already picked for you.

When do you open for picking or buying blueberries? What are your prices

    • morganmck4 · April 7, 2014

Due to the extended spring this year, it is taking longer for the blueberries to ripen. Mr. Red- farm manager- will let us know ASAP when there is a large enough crop that we can open for picking. It will be at this time that he also provides us with prices. Thank you for your interest! We look forward to seeing you.

What are your usual prices? I know they can vary from year to year but would just like to know what the price usually is for pick-your-own? Thanks.

Picked at your farm last year and was wondering when we can come again to pick. Sooo glad to pick organic blueberries, would never eat them unless organic.

I am looking forward to your upcoming blueberry season!
I have a commercial compost extract brewer and sprayer for applications.
The unit is only a few years old and is in excellent condition. I am planning to move to Panama, so am interested in selling this unit, especially to those that appreciate organic farming.

The brewer is a 100 gallon tank with a top of the line brewing unit by GEOTEA (GT 250.) The sprayer for application is a 50 gallon tank on a skid with Honda pump designed by Chemical Container of Lake Wales. All equipment has been under cover and is in excellent shape. A Honda motor transfer pump is also included.

Anyway, if you are in any way interested, please let me know soon- I would be more than happy to give more details to you. Thanks for your consideration.

I have never been to a U-Pick farm before, do I need to bring my own bucket to pick berries or are they provided at the farm? Thanks.
